Eligible projects can receive up to $1,500 in cost-shared funding for initiatives that incorporate Gaelic culture and language in your business.
Funding helps bring Gaelic culture and language into your business. Use it to update marketing, host events, or build partnerships. These projects strengthen community ties and celebrate Gaelic identity. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Incorporate aspects of Gaelic culture and language in your marketing and advertising materials to help differentiate your business and attract customers.
Work with GBI to host and support Gaelic cultural events like cèilidhs, music sessions, storytelling, poetry readings or conversational groups.
Encourage use of language when ordering food by providing both English and Gaelic menus or offering incentives like $1 off when you order in Gaelic.
Shape your workplace culture around Gaelic values like hospitality, inclusion, and storytelling. Hire Gaelic speakers or encourage employees to learn and use the language in business.
Partner with Gaelic organizations to support and promote Gaelic in your community. Sponsor local cultural events like music festivals or Highland Games to boost your business visibility.
Collaborate with businesses in Nova Scotia, nationally and internationally to create unique value and help enhance cultural and language ties.
